Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Emily's first Thanksgiving in Kansas visiting Josh's family. I was super worried about the plane ride, but not too worried about anything else. She did fantastic on the plane both ways! I couldn't have asked for a better baby. On the other hand, the time difference and the new environment really threw her for a loop. She did not want to sleep unless it was on me, and had to have her pacifier at all times. Other than that, she was a really good little girl! We all enjoyed visiting with Josh's family. His Aunt and her kids were in from Colorado, so the whole family was there. It was very nice to spend time with them since we don't get to do it as often as we would like!

November...Fall is my favorite!

November was full of fun times and busy weekends! We celebrated Ellie's 2nd birthday with Bob and Dawn and lots of friends, decorated Emily's first Christmas tree, and celebrated our friend Jason's birthday! Emily has started turning into our little "big" girl rather than our baby. She is trying to walk, and talking like crazy! I am excited for her first Thanksgiving and Christmas, but sad that it means she is almost a year old. I was told recently that after you become a mother, your universe moves in warp speed. I am starting to think you were right Cheryl!
I like French Fries!

Maybe I'll ride Daisy next time....
Well Pudge chews on it, why can't I??
(I promise I had just given it to the dog so it was relatively clean!)

Why is this stuffed dog singing???

All done! It's pretty!
Happy Birthday Jason!

Emily's First Halloween

Emily's first Halloween was fun. Mom and I made her costume. She didn't much care to have it on, but it was cute while it lasted. She was such a sleepy girl when it came time to trick or treat, so we just went to a few houses. She couldn't eat the candy anyhow. I think we enjoyed it more than she did, but she sure was cute!
Daddy? It sounds like you, but it doesn't look like you!
Cutest Candy Corn EVER!

What a FANTASTIC October!!!

October has been full of fun times with friends and family...
Josh and I took Emily and our cousin Morgan to feed the ducks at the park...
Emily is still a little unsure of the ducks...She really likes them..until they start to quack...
We also had Josh a birthday party. We had a great time!
Josh's Great Aunt Donna came down for the party. It is so nice when she comes down to visit! Emily loves to play with her.
Fall Break called for a play day with best friends. Dawn and I caught up while Emily and Ellie played. They love to play with each other...as long as it isn't nap time!
We went to Uncle Bills and Aunt Mona's for dinner the day before Morgan's birthday. It's hard to believe the little snot is 14.
We carved Emily's pumpkin to look like her! It has teeth like her and cute little pigtails!
My Little Miss Mess...I wonder where she got this look!
Emily was a BIG helper to Daddy while he carved her pumpkin!
One night after dinner at Mom and Dad's we came across a group of hot air balloons landing. We were able to stop and watch them. Emily LOVED it! (and so did Mommy!)
Mom and I made Emily's Halloween costume. She did not like having it on, but she sure looked cute in it!
We spent one Sunday at Autumn on The River. My grandparents were both raised in Bethlehem and we always enjoy going down to the festival with Grandma June and talking to all her old friends.
Josh made a scary pumpkin as usual...and he didn't even use a pattern!
I found my idea for my pumpkin in a magazine in the waiting room of the doctors office! I didn't read the directions, so I just went from my memory. I think it turned out really good. I am usually not very creative, but I had alot of fun with this one!
Mommy's little pumpkin!

We had a pretty fantastic October! It is hard for me to believe that Emily is 9 months old already. It seems like just weeks ago we were bringing her home from the hospital! She is crawling all over the place at warp speed, and is trying to walk. She is pulling up on everything! She is getting to be such a big girl! I am so proud of her! She is doing new things every day and doesn't seem to miss a beat. I can't wait to see what November has to bring!

September 22

September 22 is a special day in our house. It is our "sort of kind of" anniversary as we like to call it! Josh and I were married in Killen Texas on December 9, 2006. We then had a "BIG" wedding ceremony to share with all of our family and friends. I like to think I am a lucky girl, getting to celebrate two wedding anniversarys. I may also be the only crazy person who married the same guy twice! I am so lucky to have Josh in my life. Emily and I are lucky girls to have such a wonderful man in our lives. My life changed when I met Josh, and I will never be able to let him know just how much I appriciate him and everything he has done for me. I never dreamed life could be this good. I thank God every day for such a wonderful man to share my life with. Happy "sort of kind of" anniversary baby! I love you!

Our new Kitten

video

This is the funniest thing Emily has ever done! I feel sorry for the poor cat. I almost didn't post it, I swear if it were on YouTube the animal rights people might come after me! We are trying to teach her that you have to be nice to kitty and puuppy, but our dog Pudge just lets her waller all over him. Our cat Cagney lets her "pet" her, which means she pulls her hair endlessly! Since this, I have made sure to keep poor Orschlen away from her. He really didn't seem to mind though! I hope you get as good a laugh as we did!

My little Cheerleader

My little cousin Morgan plays volleyball for Christian Academy. We have been going to her games, and Emily LOVES to cheer for her! Whenever anyone clapps or yells she squeals like she is cheering! It is so darn cute!
