What a week!!!!

So it turned out to be a rather eventful week...Josh left for Germany Monday for 90 days. He will be working on Apache helicopters, which is what he did in the Army, and what he loves to do. We only had a week and a half to prepare for him to leave once he was offered the job, so things were very hectic. So Emily and I packed him up and took him to the airport Monday morning and sent him on his way with all our love...It will be a long 90 days, but some opportunities are just too good to pass up.
Taking Daddy to the Airport.

Getting spoiled by Aunt Amy
Tuesday seemed to drag on and I was feeling down in the dumps with Josh being gone so we went to visit Aunt Amy. As usual, Amy spoiled Emily rotten and held her most of the time we were there. I had my 6 week appointment with the doctor that afternoon, and he said I can go back to work! YAY! I go back Monday. Since I got the ok from teh doctor, I took Emily to moms and went back to Jazzercise. It felt so good to exercise. When I picked Emily up we headed home for the night. When we got there, there was a possum in the yard. So when it ran off, we went inside. Pudge, our dog, came in and was COVERED in mud. So I started getting things ready to give him a bath and noticed there was blood all over the kitchen floor! The doofus had tore one of his back claws almost all the way off! So after giving the 100 pound dog a bath, or should I say having a water fight with him, I had to go clean up the mess he made in the kitchen as well...He had also torn one of my porch furniture pillows to shreds, but Sam our neighbor picked up all the stuffing for me. He is such a big help! What a night. Unfortunatly it doesn't end there...He whined to go out about 1 am, so I let him out and I heard him run after something. There are alot of stray cats in our neighborhood so that isn't uncommon. I let him back in and went back to bed. When I got up to feed Emily early Wednesday morning, I noticed s rather foul smell in the house. After some investigation I realized the darn dog had a run in with a skunk!!!! So he got yet another bath and i had to wash his bed twice to get the smell out! Josh had only been gone two days and the dog has already given me a heap of trouble.

I can use chopsticks AND hold Emily!!!!! Impressive!

My little helpers
After a rough start to the week I decided that I would just stay home and try to get some housework done on Wednesday...I had laundry out the wazoo!!! As you can see above, I had wonderful helpers while folding it! Later that evening Candace and I went out to eat at China Bistro, which I LOVE, and went grocery shopping! Meijer can be a dangerous place when you have time to wander around and actually look at all the junk they carry! I think I need to stick to focused shopping trips...no more shopping without a list!

The train brought our drinks

I am too cute!!!

Thursday started out cruddy because it was raining and just plain cold and nasty outside. We had plans to meet my cousin Andrea for lunch and an afternoon of shopping at Kohls. We met at Pizza King, which is Andrea's favorite. We gave her the birthday gift we had for her and had a wonderful lunch. Then we were off to Kohls! I got alot of new clothes for work which I desparately needed, and even branched out of my normal colors! When we got home Sarah called and asked us to go to dinner with her. We ended up going to Bob Evans. I hadn't been there in ages, and let me tell you it was darn good!!!!! We had a very nice visit. I always enjoy going out with Sarah. We always have such good conversations, which is nice now since I spend all day with a kiddo who can't talk!

Bath Time....Getting pretty for lunch with Andrea.

Bath time is fun!! I love my toys!
Friday was a busy day. We got up early and picked mom up so we could go get all the baby stuff out of Gram's basement so she would be ready to start watching Emily next week. Gretchen met us there, and after we loaded all the stuff in the truck and visited with Gram we headed to Olive Garden for lunch. Dawn and Ellie met us there and we all had a nice visit and a great lunch. Even my sister who is the queen of picky liked it!!!! Amazing! Mom took Emily with her and Dawn and I went to Sams. What a place to save on diapers and formula. If you can stick to what you need in that place, you can really get some good deals. Then we went to Target to find Ellie some shoes. Well we found them and I found some for Emily....like she really NEEDS shoes??? They are cute though. We also got her some new books. I try to read a story to her every night. She got lots of new books this week. She really likes Mr Brown can moo can you. (maybe I just like it!!!!) I picke Emily up from mom and we came home and took a nap. Candace and I had plans to go out, and Emily was going to go visit Aunt Mona, Uncle Bill, and Morgan. It was nice to go out and have "adult time", but I think I'd rather be curled up with Little Bit and a good story instead.

Dawn with the girls

I'm a good blowler!

Emily helped Dawn get her strikes

Bob the jungle gym...

Emily and Mommy playing the Wii

Emily got to ride in Ellies swing

Ellie is such a good helper.
Saturday was rather uneventful. I stayed home most of the day and got stuff done around the house. I took a cat nap in between cleaning and talking to Josh. It is so nice to be able to talk to him almost everyday while he is gone. It is so different from when he was deployed with the Army, and much nicer! Technology is amazing! We can talk through the computer and see each other and it is all free. After a lazy afternoon we headed over to Bob and Dawn's for a bite to eat. We ended up getting the Wii out and having a blast. It was a late night but we had alot of fun!!!!
Off to my first trip to church

I'm still sleepy!

So pretty

I slept through most of the service!

Today I took Emily to church for the first time. She did excellent! We sat with Wayne, Suzie, and Nick. She slept most of the time and hardly made a peep! The sermon was excellent. I am glad to know she will be good during the service. We didn't do much the rest of the day. Just being lazy. We talked to Josh (well Emily just kind of looks at the computer like "why is dads voice coming out of that thing?") for quite a while and caught up with him. I miss him so much and it has only been a week. I sure do hope the next 11 go as fast as this one did!!!!! I am returning to work tomorrow and I am very excited, but I am a little sad that i will be leaving Emily with the sitter so much. I know that my mom will be great with her and that Amy will too, but I haven't left her for more than a few hours and I think tomorrow will be hard. I think we will finish off the evening by watching the rest of the race (go 99!!) and cuddling on the couch and call it an early night!
